Books
There are many books which cover the topics of recent extinctions, rediscoveries, rewilding, conservation cloning and de-extinction. Some are concerned only with a single taxonomic group (e.g. birds), while others are concerned with a limited geographical area (e.g. New Zealand), and others still are about a single species or subspecies (e.g. Caribbean monk seal).Books marked with '*' are about (sub)species now believed to be extinct, but which were alive at the time of writing.
Books marked with '#' are in my personal collection, and hence I can field inquiries about their content. If you want a particular reference, etc.
