Eurasian Cats

There are nine species or subspecies of wild cat in temperate Europe and Asia. We have separate fact sheets for the highly endangered Scottish Wildcat and Asiatic Cheetah due to their very unique, localized conservation problems. The Tiger also ranges much further south into the tropical jungles, but the large Siberian Tigers are found in Russia and China.
